This index documents local templates. Follow this wiki's local policies and guidance when using the examples.

The following cleanup tags are to be used before, during, and after proposing a move on Requested moves.

Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves

Discuss a contested page title on the article's talk page under Project:Requested moves before performing the move. State the current title, proposed title, reasons and sources. Templates mark the discussion; they do not move the page or approve the proposal.

Propose a move	Project:Requested moves	Keep the proposal and responses in one linked talk-page section. Follow Project:Article titles and the existing conduct response periods.
Mark a move discussion	Requested move	Read the local documentation and supply the intended title and rationale. Check that the displayed discussion link reaches the actual proposal.
Request help with a blocked move	Help:Moving pages	Ask an administrator if a protected page or occupied destination prevents an agreed move. Do not delete or overwrite an occupied target merely to bypass review.

When the discussion ends, record the outcome and update links or notices as needed. Preserve the page history and contributor attribution.

{{rename media}} links talk edit	It has been suggested that this media object be renamed to [[:File:]] or a more suitable name for the following reason: For further information about when to rename, see File names. This request will be dealt with by an administrator or file mover with the user right. (Note: This page is currently move protected so that only can move the page. Please see the log for details.) Warning: the {{Rename media}} template is not meant to be used outside the File: namespace. Use {{Requested move}} on the talk page of the page that you believe should be moved instead.

Copying to other projects

The following templates should be placed atop articles desired to be copied to other Related external projects:

Once that is done, it should be moved to Wikimedia Commons in accordance with this wiki's image policy. Once the image is improved, see moving files to Commons for information on how to proceed. If you can not convert to SVG, go ahead and move to the Commons anyway. See Move-to-commons assistant.
{{copy to Wikimedia Commons}} category links talk edit	This file is a candidate to be copied to Wikimedia Commons. Any user may perform this transfer; refer to Moving files to Commons for details. If this file has problems with attribution, copyright, or is otherwise ineligible for Commons, then remove this tag and DO NOT transfer it; repeat violators may be blocked from editing. Other Instructions Endorse this file for transfer by adding |human=<your username> to this Template. If this file is freely licensed, but otherwise unsuitable for Commons (e.g. out of Commons' scope, still copyrighted in the US), then replace this Template with {{Do not move to Commons|reason=<Why it can't be moved>}} If you think that a local copy of this file should be retained, then replace this Template with {{Keep local|reason=<Why a local copy is needed>}} Please ensure that the file has a properly descriptive and unambiguous name before transferring; see File mover#What files should be renamed? for details.

{{shadowsCommons}} category links talk edit	A different file is available on the Wikimedia Commons with the same name, Elite Dangerous Wiki:Template index/Moving. You can help fix this in one of the following ways: Rename the file locally using {{rename media}}. Due to T30299, if the Commons file is renamed, it will override the local file. Copy to Wikimedia Commons if it is a freely licensed or public domain media. See Moving files to Commons for more information. If the Commons file is substantially similar and of lower quality than the local file, you may want to overwrite the Commons file with the local one. Nominate the Commons file for deletion if it doesn't meet their copyright or inclusion criteria. Nominate the file for deletion if it is not usable or for example it is the same resolution or of lower-quality than the one on Commons.
