Elite Dangerous Wiki:Requested moves
Requested moves provides local editorial guidance for the independent Elite Dangerous Wiki. Apply it alongside community standards and existing local policies.
Propose a title change
On the affected page's talk page, state the current title, proposed title and evidence for the name. Explain effects on similarly named subjects. Straightforward corrections can use the normal Move action where available; discuss disputed or extensive renames before acting.
Preserve history and navigation
Move the page rather than copying its text to a new title and deleting the original. Check the destination before overwriting anything. Keep useful old names as redirects and update double redirects, infoboxes, navigation templates and other affected links.
Restricted moves
Ask a local administrator when protection or an existing destination prevents a legitimate move. Give the exact titles and rationale. A move-request template does not perform the move or grant additional access. See Project:Article titles.
