Article titles provides local editorial guidance for the independent Elite Dangerous Wiki. Apply it alongside community standards and existing local policies.
Choose a recognisable title
Use the established in-game name for an identifiable game subject. Choose a concise, descriptive title for a mechanic or general topic. Preserve official spelling and proper-name capitalisation. Do not add promotional phrases or unnecessary qualifiers.
Ambiguous and changed names
Use a clear qualifier where two subjects share a name. A disambiguation page should point to the actual subjects and briefly distinguish them. Keep useful alternative names and former names as redirects. Do not retitle an existing subject for a planned future name until the change is established.
Moving pages
Use MediaWiki's Move action where available so the history follows the page. Discuss consequential or disputed renames first, then check incoming links, redirects and navigation templates. See Project:Requested moves and Project:Redirect.
