List new technical requests at the top of Requested moves' sub-section Uncontroversial technical requests (on sub-page Requested moves/Technical requests, which is transcluded into Requested moves).

To opt out of discussion, if the request is contested
Use the code |discuss=no if you prefer to withdraw the request if it is contested, rather than discuss it. This will suppress the "discuss" link which may be used to convert your request to a discussion on the talk page of the page which is requested to be moved.
Deprecated parameters
- Use of unnamed parameter {{{3}}} (for the reason message) is not encouraged, because an unnamed parameter doesn't support reasons containing an equals sign (often in web links), due to MediaWiki T16235.
Error messages
If not used as intended, this template may return one of the following error messages. These are not reported at Requested moves (WP:RM). Some of the error messages are from the subtemplate {{RMassist/core}}. Instructions as to how to use this template are given in WP:RM's Requesting technical moves section. If help is still required, post a question at Requested moves.
- This template must be substituted. Replace {{RMassist ...}} with {{subst:RMassist ...}}.
- Template:RMassist must be used on Requested moves/Technical requests.
- Must create "Title" before requesting that it be moved.
- Template:RMassist is not for categories; see Categories for discussion, or Categories for discussion/Working if it's for implementing the results of closed CFD discussions.
- Template:RMassist is not for files; see Image use policy (use Template:Rename media instead).
