So which department do you work in at Frontier Developments HQ?
While items may be cheaper in a technical sense the amount of money you will effectively have to pay to get that "cheaper" item has increased by about 25-50% across the board because of the "Arx Packs" integration. For example an item that previously cost £3 now in effect costs almost double seeing as you will have to buy an Arx pack for £9.59. Not to mention the permanant few hundread Arx you will always have left over from purchases which is by definition wasted money.
That being said the Arx system is far better for FDev as you say, it will increase their income from an already dying game. And at the end of the day that is all companies really care about.
The E:D experience could have been so much better if the Arx system had been implemented years ago. Oh well. Hindsight I guess.
