Signatures provides local editorial guidance for the independent Elite Dangerous Wiki. Apply it alongside community standards and existing local policies.
Sign discussions, not articles
Use ~~~~ after a comment on a talk page to insert your account signature and a timestamp. Article contributions are credited through page history and should not carry personal signatures.
Keep signatures readable
A signature should identify the editor and provide a useful link to their local user or talk page. Avoid oversized text, distracting images, impersonation and formatting that changes the surrounding discussion. Do not imply administrator status or endorsement that you do not hold.
Missing and incorrect signatures
Use the revision history to identify an unsigned comment before adding an unsigned-comment notice. Do not guess who wrote it. Retain the original comment and indicate any correction clearly. See Project:Talk page guidelines.
