As most agree that having a stricter policy is the way to go, I'll propose a new policy below. Criticism is what I'm after here.

Users are to write and document player group articles with a neutral point of view (i.e. the article should explain and document the article clearly without a bias) and should have had some impact on the galaxy as described below.

The player group should have at least Frontier Elite ranking, had some official acknowledgement or been showcased in GalNet, exceptions can be made if the group has caused significant impact on or been in conflict with other player groups. The article must have references to these articles and any other Lore.

Members of a player group must write their article with information of what the group does, what it has done and any other lore related history that relate to the Elite: Dangerous universe. Any lore related information that does not contain a reference will get a {{Expand}} template until references has been added or a month has passed since the template has been added. Information about individuals is only allowed if they have been a major part in any lore related references.

Player group articles that does not contain any legitimate references will be met with a {{Delete}} template and be removed after seven days. Legitimate references can be GalNet, official acknowledgement, clear indication of group being Frontier Elite group ranking, or clear conflicts with recognised player groups where both parties have publicly spoken about it.

Furthermore, the article is not allowed to break Frontier's ToS or be written as an advertisement.
