Yeah, it looks like a dog-chewed sneaker. Not pretty.
Then again, maybe that's the point. It's basically some thrusters serving as a transportation device for a pair of huge guns, and the rest has been paired right back, including the aesthetic design. It's part of the tradeoff. If you look on the roads today, you'll see nice vehicles and ugly-ass vehicles. Likewise, there's no reason that the far future wouldn't have some ugly-ass spaceships.
