T-9 never was really the top trader, larger cargo space doesn't mean better trade ship (either way today the Corvette would be the top trader, this is not the case). Sure you can load more in a T-9 than an Anaconda but the trade off is small jump range especially fully loaded. An Anaconda will do more round trips in less time so in the end you will end hauling more tons, that's what matters. Being cheaper a T-9 was only an intermediary step till you had enough credits to move to a better ship.
