So after being buffed in the beta, without shields the type-7 can now hold 304 tons of cargo which is more than the python can hold without shields (292 tons). However with shields it can only hold 272 tons meanwhile with shields the python can hold 284 tons of cargo. So even after the buff the python is still a better trader for two reasons IMO. One it can land on a medium pad while the type-7 needs a large. Two with shields it holds more cargo. Of course I realise the python costs significantly more credits but it is a multi-purpose ship while the type-7 is specifically a trader so it should be able to haul more cargo. All frontier would need to do is give it a size 4 internal comparment for shields and that would solve the problem. It is better than it was before though :)
