Why are you guys lying about the Type 7 to people? Running without shields is impossible in a 7 or 9, you WILL be destroyed the first jump you make through low security space. They're space whales. I went from flying one for a few weeks and getting sick of being punished for upgrading by Frontier and instead turned to pirating Type 7's and 9's exclusively. I feel bad for idiots who fly them without shields because I can destroy you in under three volleys. An ASP has more cargo space than a Type 7, this is a HUGE deal for most pilots, and it's something that Frontier need to address for balance and fairness, as well as the fact it is a complete space whale. But as long as idiot fan boys are terrified of someone being honest about poor decisions by the developers being read by people instead of giving them biased information exist then Frontier are going to believe the idiots blowing smoke up their arses.
It's cruel to lie to your fellow gamers. The Type 7 is the first experience most people will have of the extreme piracy that 7's and 9's face, and when you realize that maxed for maxed a Type 7 only has 60-70 more tons than an ASP which is a fantastic combat class ship then you begin to realize you've been lied to. I've personally lost weeks of work because of the lies on this page, but I know there's no point changing anything, just a check of the history shows other people have tried and been reverted for 'bias' for simply stating the truth. Stop lying to pilots.
