I also noticed, that there is a system behind the colours of the external lighting (red for federal, green for alliance, and blue for imperial stations), as well as the colour of the holographic landing pad markers, with yellow for extraction and refinery stations, red for industry and agriculture, and blue for military economies, but correct me, if I am wrong.
