Ah okay, yeah, I've only been scanned ONCE so far while using the docking computer. I'm not sure if it has an effect of not, but I usually first engage the docking computer and then press delete to activate silent mode, as I said I'm not sure if it has any effect or not because the heat levels dose'nt go up but in the functions module it does say that silent mode is activated.
