To the comment about fighters vs rovers. AFAIK, after a fighter dies, you lose it. You need to go back and replenish at a port. It builders anothers, meaning, you have a stack of fighter materials in the hanger and 1 made. If it blows up, you need to wait for your hanger to build it. I am not sure how fuel works for these fighters though, as SRV fuel and ammo needs to be made.
