Multi-cannons is by far the best PvE weapon, because they work against both small and big ships. And if you mix Corrosive, and Incendiary, with a grade 5 Overcharged setup. It will pretty much pulverise everything you point at. I got a Corvette with only Multi-Cannons. And have actually gotten a few complaints in Multi-Crew about me killing the targets so fast that my crew members didn't even have a chance at hitting them before they were dead. I understand that if you PvP, and know that you'll be fighting the 3 big ones. You can use fixed weapons, and cannons because your target is bigger, and easier to hit. But a big cannon ain't even effective against an Adder if you have a big ship. Even if it's gimbaled, because it is too small, and you are too big and slow. Multi-Cannons are the best overall PvE weapon, especially for big ships alike, unless you want a more specialised setup for PvP.
