I like this analysis. It makes me consider that Mamba might be meant as an FDL counterpart against large ships. So does more damage to harder hulls than FDL and doesn't need an FDL's nimbleness, just raw speed to gtfo if things go wrong.

All this speculation will probably be more fun than the real ship tho ;)
