When i first started bounty hunting in my Cobra, I saw this as an annoyance, like why would i spend an extra 10 seconds just looking at my target, probably letting him know im coming after him before the scan is even done? I usually hit up navpoints, but one time when i just happened to be at a high resource field, with the base range kws, i saw a Python with a warrant for like 6k creds. I almost didn't think it was going to be worth my time, until i scanned him with the kws. Boom. His warrant was now 135k, and it turns out he only had 2 pulse lasers and the rest were mining lasers. Probably the fastest easiest 135k i ever made. I recommend going with the D rating one, the extra half km can really help avoid zipping past your prey by accident.
