Cutter is actually a pretty amazing multipurpose ship, and a true jack of all trades. Provided you can afford it and engineer it, anyway.
Anyone who questions its combat capability really needs to think long and hard about what it means to have absolute control over the terms of engagement. Once fully kitted out, Cutter decides when to fight and for how long, period. And the defenses really are no joke if you build for it, I parked mine in a High Intenisty CZ earlier with engines off and turrets set to fire at will while I cleaned up my desk area. I did occasionally have to launch a new SLF whenever the NPC whined about getting shot down, but that was it. It scored 26 kills just sitting there existing, and still had plenty of shield to spare.
