Okay, now you're just being picky. First of all, Cutter would have more than enough time to jump to yet another system, or simply drop down after jump and wait a bit, or even simply quit to main menu and go make some tea if those pursuers are really that persistent and determined. Anyway, most people won't go for that much trouble to catch a fleeing Cutter, unless there's like a million credit bounty on him, it's simply not worth the time.
You really do hate that Cutter, don't you? :D
