Indeed. NPCs can't drive this ship properly. You can kill it with a stock sidewinder, if you want to spend 10 minutes shooting non-stop.
As long as turrets don't work properly, this ship can't really be used in pvp, as anything bigger than a player-controled Eagle can be a very tough opponent (Eagles can be a problem too, but if the player in the eagle does the slightest mistake, the dropship can insta-kill them)
