why cant i have a custom farragut battle cruiser ? i would love to take a full crew out into the depths of space and see whats out there, or even have a whole mining crew set up so i can warp us all into a belt and start mining as a whole groups and they could each come back to my ship and drop off the load, than go back into the asteroids and keep mining bigger ship. bigger cut for everyone and faster money, imagine new players hungry to make some cash signing up to come out mining with an elite mining crew for a few days just to make some money to get that extra upgrade or ship they want. i would help them learn and im sure my crew would help them as well in the field. any upgrades they might need i could loan them the money as long as they pay it back at the end of their contract. literally anything is possible so why not make it that why am i right ? imagination is only the begining. imagine a space tow truck that could go to the outer rims within hours (if fully upgraded to do so) say if one of our great explorers is out there and they have a problem they cant fix all they need to do is hit the distress signal and any support pilot can message them and nigotiate the price, say if you want good rep you can hav the option to charge up to 20% less than normal price go out fix them up or even deliver upgrades to them, then be back home within a few hours but keep in mind this ship will only be for resuce and things like that only so no guns at all it needs as much room for supplies/upgrades/...food and water (if implamented into the game) now i imagine people would be thinking that this is basically cheating being able to jump to the outer rings within hours BUT ! its not a good exploration ship it just has colossal jump range, one single mega engine and the rest is for spare parts and suplies no room for any type of exploration functions and no guns for supporting itself pirates wouldnt bother you much as you only have spare parts and average cargo. OR use blackholes to our advantage, make them teleport you to another black hole somewhere in the galaxy but its not up to you where you go i would need to be 100% random so it would be an awesome risk for explorers to try out and it might even pay off, who knows what you might find out there.
