Honestly if they add a compartment to allow for an optimized shield for the tonnage of the Assault Ship, it'd be OP.
Bear in mind, the Vulture has two hardpoints, two larges. This has two large hardpoints... AND two medium hardpoints. If the stats in the info box above are true, then getting 6 maneuverability with those weapons seems like a fair trade for weaker shields. Stat-wise it'd be like a more powerful version of the Cobra. The Cobra (to me at least) is limited by the relatively low number of internal compartments.
