I can confirm this, the factions are also in civil war so all scan missions are also ascension missions at this time. There are also donations missions that pop up now and then for the extra rep boost. Ground my way the last 35% of viscount yesterday although I don't know how far I am into the next rank as there are no rank up missions available. But going to keep this up for as long as the missions are still ascension missions.
