Thats what I run this thing for and it does a decent job, I also take it into combat and it does great. Otherwise the Asp is the next ship up after this one. For the most part I trade, smuggle, and bounty hunt and these three ships do the job beautifully without breaking the bank or without comprimising.... I would say though that the Explorer is better at trading due to its SLIGHTLY higher heat build up and the cobra better for combat due to its higher manuverability though.
