No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that if you ever get into a PvP and they get your prismatics down, you have three choices:
1) Fight it out without shields (for a long time!) and hope he doesn't have something that eats through your hull
2) Run away
3) Be a dick and combat log
Bi-weaves might go down a bit quicker, but they give you a fourth option - to throw pips into [SYS] and get those shields back up so you can have another go.
And yes, if you do the mathhammer, it actually works out that you'll be able to take more damage with a prismatic up/down/up/down cycle than tanking it all with grade As. Prismatics are another matter - but to get those, you're going to have to cut your ship short on something else that sucks power.
