I have it now and it works great for bounty hunting. I guess if you get this ship after having a python the shields would seem horrible but if you are upgrading to it from any smaller or equivalently sized ship the shields are fine. Taking into consideration the amount of interior compartments I think it still is a premier pirate ship. In fact for the money I would go so far as to say it is the best multipurpose ship and can compete with some of the larger ones.
