From Elite Dangerous Wiki

I like the adder too, and it is a good multirole ship wich I used extensively for exploration! Has 6 internal compartment wich are all needed for a decent explorer ship! I had mine kitted out with fuel scoop, Auto-maintenance-unit, D-scanner, Shields and shield cell bank and still one compartment left for cargo! I eventually sold it due to its lack of visibility (poor sight to left and right and above) and due to its poor "running-away" speed wich made evasive actions after being interdicted very hard!

I got so sick and tired of those damn interdictions whenever I was trying to scan and map out an unexplored system that I ended up selling it fully kitted out and bought a base Viper wich I then kitted out for both exploration (yes I know its a fighter) and defensive measures (in case of any annoying interdictions) I bought it for its speed..knowing I could easily outrun anything ingame and run away since almost nothing can keep up..while keeping my shields up using a shield cell bank if needed (Also have a point-defence incase of any incoming missles) and then its just waiting while I continiously keep pushing the boost speed button while I wait for my FSD to get back online...and then its toudeloe and up yours you damn pirates, ur not killing me! ^^

Now I sold the Viper (today) for a Cobra mk III because it has roughly equal speeds as the Viper and equal amount of weapon hardpoints..yet has more internal compartments (6 as oposed to 4 for the Viper) and a much better FSD for longer hyper jumps wich makes it better suited for exploration then the Viper..yet still maintaining high enough speeds to outrun any interdictor/pirate! Now I use the Cobra for exploration until I can afford the Asp or one of the new ships the're going to introduce in the near future! :)
