Language navigation should take readers to the intended language version or local translation of a page. Follow Project:Template index/Translation for the available translation-related templates.

Check the destination

Use the page's language menu and check the resulting address and content. An inherited language prefix can still point to a source wiki unless the local configuration or page data has been adapted. Do not assume that a link labelled Russian, for example, refers to a translation hosted here.

Published and machine-translated text

A separately edited language page and a machine-generated reader translation are different. A machine translation may misread ship names, units or gameplay terminology. Check important details against the source and identify translated material accurately. Do not label generated text as a human-reviewed translation.

Fix a wrong link

When the language link comes from editable page text, correct its target using the actual local language arrangement. If it comes from site configuration or a language service, report the source page and wrong destination to an administrator. Do not create a redirect to Fandom as a substitute for a missing local translation. See Help:Interwiki linking.
