Today I’m taking a look at the brand new, and definitely not a Star Trek ship, Caspian Explorer. Right now, you can only pick it up through the Frontier Store for ARX. It comes in three variants: the Standard version at 19,020 ARX, the Stellar at 38,000, and the Galactic at a hefty 69,000.

The Caspian Explorer is a large, exploration-focused vessel with a few new exclusive modules designed to make those long-range trips into the black a bit easier. These include upgraded thrusters to help with high-G landings, new armor that lets you take a steeper planetary approach, and a new Frame Shift Drive that delivers a hefty 6 times bonus when boosting off Neutron and White Dwarf stars. The ship may also have potential as a combat or long range hauling vessel, time will tell.
