Technically, the burden of evidence would be upon the group that the page is about. If a reference to them being officially acknowledged isn't provided is a limited time frame or something, the page could be deleted. Now I have no information on the acknowledgments your group has gotten, but so long as it isn't ambiguous then it would be fine.
IMO, an article stating "A Black Fleet as appeared around <location>" would be ambiguous as there is no clear connection as opposed to "Members of the Black Fleet have been spotted around <location>"
