Not a trade ship? What the hell do you think trading is? The Cutter isn't just a trade ship, it is very likely the best trading ship currently available, provided you can afford to fly it AND lose it. 

A Cutter can carry 650 tons of cargo with a 6 shield and 6 fuel scoop over 22ly a jump with no engineering other than G5 FSD.

The type 9 can't jump as far with that load, is slower, with weaker shields and armament if it gets jumped or has to escape.

The anaconda can get another 4 or 5ly laden jump, but is 200 tons short on cargo, but is also slower with weaker shields. 

If the Cutter isn't a trade ship, there isn't a trade ship in the game.
