Notability provides local editorial guidance for the independent Elite Dangerous Wiki. Apply it alongside community standards and existing local policies.

Scope of this game wiki

Coverage is based on relevance to Elite Dangerous and useful, verifiable information. Game features, named ships, systems, equipment, lore and documented mechanics do not need to satisfy a general encyclopaedia's independent-coverage threshold before they can be explained here.

Separate article or section

A subject needs enough distinct information to justify a separate page. Closely related variants or poorly documented minor topics may fit better in a list or a section. Avoid creating promotional or speculative articles solely because a name exists. Apply Project:Player groups to player organisations and Project:Future content to unreleased material.

Disagreement

Discuss relevance, sources and structure on the talk page. A notability notice is a request for a concrete improvement or review, not an automatic deletion decision. Consider merging before deletion. See Project:Deletion policy.

Player organisations and unfinished pages

For squadrons and player groups, apply the specific impact and sourcing policy, including its existing review period. A general relevance argument does not waive those tests.

For other game subjects, a short article may still be useful if it identifies the subject and provides verifiable information. Expand, merge or redirect it where appropriate. Check the history before treating a page as a test or vandalism, and follow Project:Deletion policy for a disputed removal.
