One of the tedious parts of the game on a Commodore 64 was when you were heading to the space station and another ship appeared, which meant you could no longer skip forward to speed it up. However, with a SuperCPU accelerator plugged into the C64, you could flip the switch to Turbo and get there 20 times faster.

If you had the [[Docking Computer]], you'd be able to go right into the station unattended. If you didn't, you'd just wait until you got a bit closer, then turn off the switch and begin the manual docking process.

There were occasional game crashes when I moved the switch, but if I had saved recently, it wasn't a big deal. Crashing my ship came from trying to fly at 20x speed when I left it in Turbo mode, but it sure was fun watching the screen spin that fast.
