From Elite Dangerous Wiki

If you did not like the Anaconda in normal space, you aren't going to like the Corvette. They are ships of similar size and shape. While the Corvette will handle better than the Anaconda, it's still one of the largest ships in the game. Such ships depend greatly on turret coverage to be truly effective in a fight. It sounds like you want to be able to bring your nose to bear in an engagement, and if that's true I recommend staying away from the larger craft. That being written, the big ships carry significant advantages of their own. My ship of choice is the Anaconda at the moment and she's quite literally capable of capitalizing on any opportunity that lands in front of her. 1k+ shielding and 8 turrets means that no matter how quickly the other ship moves, every pass is going to cost dearly, even if I never get the class 4 hardpoint to bear. The fighter is just icing on cake. So when you mirror that logic with the Corvette, fights become very short with the DPS of 2 class 4 beam lasers. And just try to carry 150 tons of cargo, 2-3 passengers and continue to be fully combat ready in the FDL. It's all about play style, and if you want to dogfight or just get the job done.
