Sinuous Tuber
Appearance
(Redirected from Tube worm)

These organic structures are distinguished by their tubular shape and vivid colouration.
— In-Game Description
Sinuous Tubers are a species of Fungal Life that have been found on the surfaces of airless planets and moons across the galaxy. They were originally nicknamed "Tube Worms" by explorers due to their resemblance to tube worms found on Earth.
Types

There are eight known types of Sinuous Tuber:
- Sinuous Tubers Albidum
- Sinuous Tubers Blatteum
- Sinuous Tubers Caeruleum
- Sinuous Tubers Lindigoticum
- Sinuous Tubers Prasinum
- Sinuous Tubers Roseum
- Sinuous Tubers Violaceum
- Sinuous Tubers Viride
Distance
Minimum distance between two genetic samples: 100 m
Conditions of occurrence
- Planets types: planets with no atmosphere, with volcanic activity
- It seems that the Sinuous Tubers are more common near the Galactic Core.
Variants
The species of Sinuous Tuber depends on the type of volcanism and planet:
| SPECIES | VOLCANISM | PLANET TYPE |
|---|---|---|
| Albidum | Any | Rocky |
| Blatteum | Any | Metal Rich or High Metal Content |
| Caeruleum | Any | Rocky |
| Lindigoticum | Any | Rocky |
| Prasinum | Any | Metal Rich or High Metal Content |
| Roseum | Silicate Magma | Any |
| Violaceum | Any | Metal Rich or High Metal Content |
| Viride | Any | Metal Rich or High Metal Content |
