Purpose

This rcat is intended for any mainspace redirect from a manufacturer's model number or designation to an article about the corresponding military aircraft, vehicle or other item that is best known and titled by its military designation. For example: Boeing Model 294Boeing XB-15.

Usage

Use this rcat template on mainspace redirects only.

• This redirect category (rcat) template populates Category:Redirects from manufacturers' designations and Category:Printworthy redirects by default. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. A redirect from a manufacturer's model number is considered to be suitable for a printed version of this encyclopedia. In other words it is printworthy.

• Add this rcat to a redirect (not a talk-page redirect) in the following manner:
