Template:R from Unicode character

When used inside the Redirect category shell template:

When used by itself:

 • From a Unicode character: This is a redirect from a single Unicode character to an article or project page that infers meaning for the symbol. Examples would be monetary symbols like dollar and euro signs, language symbols, emoji, and so on. For a multiple-character-long title with diacritics, use template R from diacritic instead. For codes such as "U+00E6", use R from Unicode code.
Template documentation follows
Note: the template above may sometimes be partially or fully invisible.
Visit "Template:R from Unicode character/doc" to edit its documentation if it is available. (How does this work?)

Usage

#REDIRECT (target article title or page name)

and when the redirect is in article mainspace, printworthiness should also be tagged:
#REDIRECT (target article title or page name)

Template Rcat shell is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:
#REDIRECT (target article title or page name)

R from Unicode
This is in accord with instructions found at WP:REDCAT.
 • Use this rcat to tag any mainspace or project space redirect from a single Unicode character (not including the namespace) to a mainspace article or Wikipedia project page that describes the usage of this symbol. Examples would be monetary symbols like dollar and euro signs, language symbols, daggers, and so on. For a multiple-character-long title with diacritics, use R from diacritics instead.

Printworthiness

Use the first unnamed parameter (#1) to make a redirect "printworthy" in the following manner:

 •

Aliases

Usage as a demo template

 • This rcat is designed for use on "/doc" (documentation) pages as a demo template. It will not categorize the documentation page nor the other template.
