The FAS is a Vulture Mk II. Superb armor, speed to rival a Fer De Lance, and two medium hardpoints in addition to the two large. No power management issues to speak of either. The only difference is the shields are less strong than the Vulture, but with the amount of punishment the hull can absorb before failing it's not an issue at all. If you like the Vulture, get an FAS. You will not be displeased in the slightest. It's a straight upgrade and IMO one of the finest fighters in ED. And to the second commenter, if you are referring to outmanuevering NPC FAS's, don't judge a ship by the NPC pilots. NPC Fer De Lances are some of the easiest targets out in the black but actually piloting an FDL yourself is completely different.
