While the Cutter is more agile while still having the same cargo, the Anaconda more agile and jumping way further in exchange for half the cargospace and the even more agile Corvette basically having only a minor reduction to cargo while sporting an FSD just as bad are all terrific choices to be used for anything remotely linked to cargo hauling, be it trading, smuggling or mining, T9 will be my favourite choice for mining.
Simply because how it looks. Not to mention it's so cheap I don't mind it much if it gets destroyed. Why would I put top of the line upgrades on this ship? It's the perfect B ship. Second best from everything, cheap, economical, still perfect for the job. Sure, if you get attacked you are dead meat most of the time - but even a Corvette has a hard time if fully laden and set for mining, not combat.
