I flew both for about 150 hrs and i only do combat, so no trading, smuggling or anything, just shooting stuff, so i have no info about the other proffessions

Power management issues are non-existent for the python, i have it outfitted with a prismatic shield generator and 2 imperial hammers and it still works like a charme.

the python can deal massive amounts of damage, and even with a drained weapons capacitor ur 3 large pulse lasers are putting out constant damage. and in can take a lot as well since you can fit in a few shield boosters and hull reinforcements

but in comparison with the FDL it is very slow and very cumbersome, plus using shield cell banks fries that damn vessel to a crisp!

The FDL is insanely fast and agile for it's size.

after the patch it got a bigger power plant and eliminated pretty much every power management issue (still not as good as the python, but good enough)

very good damage output even though you "only" have 4 medium hardpoints and the huge hardpoint is definitely an ace up its sleeve, you can take out an anaconda with 2 precise shots on its Power Plant.

It can't take as much damage as the python, since there's not that much room for internal compartments, so i only focused on shields (Bi-Weave for faster recharge on this one)

BUT! the major advantage are the shield cell banks, you can use them on the FDL without worrying about your heat, 4B SCBs get the heat up to about 80%!!!

sooo.... that's my impressions on those two, i can't say which one is actually better, depends on your playstyle.

right now i prefer the FDL because of its agility and speed

€: oh yeah and A-grading the python costs about 100mil. more than the FDL so there's that ^^
