make sure to actually buy the wanted items and have it in your cargo hold. I only get the red deliver button when i didn't have the requested stuff. I don't think that you are dumb don't get me wrong, just making sure, maybe you thought you'd automatically get the stuff upon accepting the mission.
If it's not that, i am almost sure you ran into a bug.
