They are actually listed as having slightly lower DPS in the outfitting menu, but due to the nature of the way dps is shown it's hard to tell how much of a difference. I know that comparing a fixed multicannon with a gimbaled cannon reports the DPS as being lower for the gimbal, but not by how much, as the same amount of pips is filled in.
