Sadly these are currently quiet useless.
When I was using my Type 6, I decided to give these a try along with a Chaff Launcher.
Upon being interdicted ( as pirates love going after helpless Type 6 Ships ) I began to run dumping chaffs and mines while blasting my booster rockets and waiting for my FSD to recharge. While I was slowly gaining distance from the pirate cmdr he took the time to let me know and mock me for how little an effect my mines were having on him and his shields.
Watching his Ships Shields I had to agree.
I think these Mine weapons need some work possibly some kind of "effect" could make them more useful...
Perhaps detonating infront of a enemy and scrambling their sensors and weapons lock or slowing them down momentarily.
But as of right now, they are useless.
I was using Class 1 Mine Launchers (Two of them)
My attacker was in a Eagle with Class 1 C Shields.
