I find this very hard to believe, as the description clearly states it's a warship and not a trader, it even goes to the point of spelling out how rare it is for a cutter to even be owned outside of the Navy. This would simply not be used for the description of a trade ship. Besides, in the stream with David Braben he never mentioned anything of trading or even transport whilst discussing the cutter. All he talked about on the subject was regarding it in combat and that it's "more multipurpose than the corvette". The future addition of bays for two fighters (which goes for the corvette too) also reinforces that it is a military ship. In the end, the confusion of it being a trader is down to the fact the slots that are meant to be used for SCBs and hull reinforcement to "beef it up" is being used instead for cargo and thus making it bigger than a T9, which is truly an unfortunate result. I'm hoping they reduce its jump range to a crawl so it's huge but so slow it's unusable as a trader.
