Just to clarify: I'm not the one who's mad here.
You're disliking a Science-Fiction game, set in the year 3301, based on the fact that it allows players to use fuel scoops, and furthermore complain that if you completely drain your fuel tank (despite getting a "low fuel" warning), it is actually empty.
To put it in a nutshell: You refuse to use a key game-mechanic and complain about the fact you got stuck.
I know better than to argue with a 10 year old. If you don't like the game go ahead and play something else.
