Fantastic game on the Amiga. It was just so ahead of its time it was unreal. Unfortunately horribly unbalanced.

Impossible missions generated that would send you to binary star systems you couldn't possibly get to in time.

Space combat that crippled you and left you unable to get back to a base, shields available only to the largest ships, and useless bounty hunting as repair and missiles invariably cost more than the bounty. Combat at relativistic speeds just did not work. By the time you got ships tough enough to resist pirate attacks, you had to use autopilot in most fights and just crash into pirates. Shooting at them was pointless. And pirates only attacked you one at a time, despite the fact the game was more than capable of fielding more attackers.

Totally useless mining: overly dangerous, banned in most planets, and the reward was terrible.

Almost impossible to dock without autopilot. And even with one, it would still crash you unless you used the time skip function.

Most people just got stuck grinding the Sol<->Barnards Star Robots/Luxuries run. No pirates.
