The range of 20ls mentioned above is wrong. I have the feeling that it it isn't a fixed range but that is also depends on your targets speed as well as your own since I was able to interdict several ships between 200ls and 300ls with 4D FSDI. It seems to be important though that your speed is >= that of your target, which makes sense since you need to be able to catch up.
