If you've actually used the Corvette, the two huge hardpoints aren't great selling points. They have their uses against larger ships if you're module sniping, but other than that, they're almost wasted hardpoints -- and the Corvette already has a pretty serious disadvantage in that it has 7 hardpoints compared to the Anaconda's 8. Generally speaking, you can definitely kill ships faster and more efficiently (for the most part) in an Anaconda.
One might argue that this deficiency is compensated for by the Corvette's slightly stronger shields (though it has less armor, for some stupid reason -- it's a combat-specific ship, after all) and better handling, but from experience, I tend to wreak far more havoc with my Anaconda.
