The Diamondback is great for exploration. Fuel scooping really doesn't matter too much if you just scoop at every star you come to right away and simply let your ship scan the main star while you look at the system map to get your bearings. Unless you are doing a purely ADS run, and have no intent to scan any planets or stars.
