Arissa Lavigny-Duval, the new leader of the empire and Edmund Mahon, chief of the Alliance, semms to also be powerful figures in powerplay.
I really love the Empire, and i really appreciate the fact that they are a strong and united entity, despite being disagree about some questions like slavery or narcotics. I find it more honest and more honourable than this corrupted Federation.
